This workshop will feature learning and teaching strategies that you can easily implement to ensure that yoou have a culturally responsive classroom. We will define what a culturally responsive classroom is; we will share ideas and strategies; and best of all, we will have 4 secondary ELL students present their experiences in their respective schools. The students will respond to pre-determined questions, and you will also be able to ask them questions. A Settlement Worker from Kamloops Immigrant Services will also be joining us to provide information about their role in supporting students and families. This session is open to 20 participants.
